Traveler eSIM

How to use your eSIM

A Traveler eSIM is a digital SIM. There is no plastic card. After you pay, you get a QR code and an activation string. You add it in your phone’s eSIM settings, turn on data roaming, and you have mobile data in the country you bought for. Your home number stays on your original SIM for calls and WhatsApp.

Before you buy

  1. Confirm the phone is carrier-unlocked (not locked to one operator).
  2. Confirm it has eSIM. Checks below.
  3. You need Wi-Fi for the first install — airport or hotel Wi-Fi is enough.

iPhone: Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data). If you see Add eSIM, you are fine. Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs. If you see Add eSIM or Download a SIM, you are fine.

iPhone — install

  1. Open the Traveler eSIM order and keep the QR on another screen, or print it.
  2. Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code.
  3. Scan. If you cannot scan, choose Enter Details Manually and paste the LPA string.
  4. Label the line “Traveler”. Keep your home line for calls.
  5. Turn Data Roaming on for the Traveler line.
  6. Set Traveler as the line for Cellular Data when you land.

Works on iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, 11 and every iPhone after that, including SE (2nd generation and later). iPad Pro / Air / mini models with cellular + eSIM (2018 onward) also work.

Android — install

  1. Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add eSIM.
  2. Scan the QR, or enter the activation code from your order.
  3. Name it Traveler. Enable the line. Turn on roaming.
  4. Set it as the mobile-data SIM. Leave the physical SIM for calls if you want.

Typical working models: Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, Z Flip / Z Fold 3 and later, many A-series from A54 up; Google Pixel 3 and later; Motorola Razr (2019+) and recent Edge / G flagships; Sony Xperia 1 / 5 / 10 (mark III+); OnePlus 11 and later; Xiaomi 12 and later; Oppo Find X3+; Nothing Phone (2)+; Honor Magic 4+.

Some Huawei / Honor units have eSIM but no Google services — install still works, QR camera must be able to read the code. If Add eSIM is missing, that phone cannot take a Traveler eSIM.

After it is installed

  • Keep the QR. One plan is one device. Do not share the code.
  • Data-only: iMessage, WhatsApp, and your home number stay on the original SIM.
  • Hotspot: allowed unless a plan page says otherwise.
  • APN is ours and is meant to land automatically. If data does not start, we publish the APN name with the plan when our network pack is live.
  • Out of data: buy a top-up from My eSIMs. No silent extra charges.
