Turkey eSIM: stay online from Istanbul to Cappadocia
Turkey is one of the world's most visited countries, and good mobile data makes ferries, trams, ride-hailing and restaurant searches much easier. A travel eSIM avoids the airport SIM counter.
Good to know
- Data only. You get mobile internet for maps, messaging apps, ride-hailing and video calls, but no local phone number.
- Keep your own number. Your usual SIM stays in the phone for calls and bank text codes. Turn off its data roaming to avoid charges.
- Phone registration. Turkey has rules for foreign phones that use a local Turkish SIM for a long time. A travel eSIM is a common choice for short visits, but check current rules if you stay for months.
