Unlimited eSIM explained

Updated · prices in USD from our live catalog

Short answer: On TravelTrip World, Unlimited* usually means a day-pass style plan: you get high-speed data up to a daily allowance shown on the plan (for example 1 GB/Day). After that allowance, speeds may be reduced for the rest of the day. It is not an unmetered, uncapped guarantee with no fair use.

Fair use in plain language

If a plan name includes “then 1 Mbps” (or similar), that is the reduced speed after the daily high-speed allowance. Always read the note on the plan card before you buy.

Questions

Is Unlimited* truly unlimited?

It means continuous connectivity with a high-speed daily allowance and fair-use throttling afterward — not a promise of maximum speed with no limits.

Can I top up an Unlimited* plan?

When validity or the prepaid period ends, buy another plan. The website does not offer automatic mid-plan top-up.

Does a travel eSIM include a phone number?

No. These plans are data-only. Your main SIM stays in the phone, so your usual number keeps working for calls and texts where your home carrier allows it, and messaging apps work over the eSIM data.

Is my phone compatible?

You need an eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked phone. Check the compatible devices list, or dial *#06# and look for an EID number.

When does the plan start?

Validity normally starts when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination, so you can install it at home before you fly.
